FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
What types of projects does VIC accept?
VIC works on digital products, fintech and financial systems, AI and automation, enterprise platforms, robotics, IoT, product discovery, modernization, and ongoing support. We assess each opportunity according to fit, complexity, risk, available expertise, and the ability to deliver responsibly.
Can I come to VIC with only an idea?
Yes. A project can begin with a discovery engagement that clarifies the problem, users, product direction, feasibility, architecture, roadmap, and investment required.
Do you work with individuals as well as organizations?
Yes. VIC can work with individual founders, startups, growing companies, corporations, institutions, NGOs, governments, and strategic partners.
Can VIC take over an existing project?
Yes. We begin with an independent assessment of the codebase, architecture, infrastructure, data, documentation, security, deployment process, and current risks before recommending stabilization, completion, staged replacement, or retirement.
How much does a project cost?
Cost depends on scope, complexity, risk, integrations, team composition, timing, and support requirements. VIC may begin with a paid discovery or assessment when a responsible estimate cannot be produced from the initial information.
How long does development take?
Timing depends on the product, evidence required, integrations, approvals, and operational readiness. A prototype may take a focused period, while a complex financial or enterprise platform may require staged delivery. VIC provides a schedule after discovery and planning.
Who owns the source code and intellectual property?
Ownership, licensing, third-party components, access, repositories, and handover are defined contractually. Client-funded custom work should have clear terms, while VIC products, pre-existing intellectual property, and reusable platform components may follow different arrangements.
Can VIC sign an NDA?
Yes. Confidentiality can be addressed before sensitive material is shared. Initial discussions can also remain high level until an NDA is in place.
Does VIC provide design as well as engineering?
Yes. Product strategy, user experience, interface design, service design, architecture, engineering, testing, launch, and support can be delivered as one engagement.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes. Support is defined according to the system and may include stabilization, monitoring, incident response, maintenance, security updates, optimization, reporting, and roadmap delivery.
Can VIC work with our internal team?
Yes. VIC can operate as an embedded engineering partner, specialist team, architecture function, or external product team alongside internal staff and existing vendors.
Do you work internationally?
Yes. VIC is positioned for global delivery through remote collaboration, documented workflows, regular reviews, and project-specific on-site activity where required.
Do you build hardware?
VIC works on robotics, embedded systems, sensors, connected devices, and hardware-to-cloud systems. Physical manufacturing may involve specialist suppliers or partners depending on the project.
Does VIC build AI products?
Yes. VIC develops AI agents, document intelligence, knowledge systems, decision support, computer vision, and automation. We also distinguish tasks that should use deterministic software or human review instead of AI.
Are all VIC products available now?
No. Products may be in research, prototype, pilot, beta, live, or independent-venture stages. Each product page displays its accurate status and route for access or partnership.
What is VIC Labs?
VIC Labs is the research, experimentation, and advanced-development arm of VIC Engineering. It investigates emerging technologies, builds prototypes, incubates products, and may transfer work into client solutions, licenses, VIC products, or new ventures.
What is the relationship between VIC and Adatsi Innovation?
VIC Engineering is the software, product, technology, and engineering company within Adatsi Innovation. VIC carries the endorsement "An Adatsi Innovation Company."
